How does it work?
A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin. This penetrates deep into the pores, attaching itself to dead skin cells, dirt and oil. When the carbon is dry, the laser is passed over it. The laser light is attracted to the carbon, causing it to vaporise, leaving your skin smooth and clear of oil, dirt and dead skin cells. As the laser is pulsed onto the skin, our own bodies healing mechanism is activated deeper into the skin, creating cellular turnover and regeneration of collagen and elastin.
When will I see Results
You will instantly see, brightening of the skin, which will feel softer and smoother. However a course is recommended as results will be progressive throughout the course of treatments.
How many treatments will I need?
The results of the Carbon facial are progressive. Each treatment builds on the last. Once the regeneration of cell turnover is started, the best way to continue getting improvements is by committing to a course and then just a maintenance treatment. (Similar to going to the gym)
A course of 3-6 treatments over 2-3 months is recommended with a maintenance treatment every 6 months.
Does is hurt?
During the procedure you may experience slight tingling and warmth on the skin whilst our laser zaps away the thin layer of carbon.
Aftercare
Sun Protection Factor 50 minimum must be used. Avoid heat. Hot Water. Saunas, hot tubs, strenuous exercise.
Are there any side effects?
The Carbon facial is a very safe treatment. Side effects are minimal.
Slight redness may occur, tingling but should subside within a few hours. Aloe vera can be applied. Try to avoid oily makeup and only apply makeup when the skin is no longer red.
